Pack 622 had an amazing experience visiting the Hartford Fire Station in Augusta, Maine! The scouts enjoyed a full tour of the station, getting an up-close look at the fire trucks and rescue equipment.

A highlight of the visit was a hands-on first aid lesson led by a paramedic and firefighter, where the scouts learned basic skills and got to try out some real equipment. They were all engaged and eager to learn, making it a memorable experience.

A huge thank you to the Augusta Fire Department for such an inspiring and educational day. The scouts left with a newfound respect for the hard work and dedication of our local heroes!

Pack 622 had an amazing day at the 2024 Lego Derby at Camp Bomazeen in Belgrade, Maine! The scouts eagerly raced their hand-built Lego cars, competing in a day filled with excitement, creativity, and cheers from friends and family.

A big congratulations to Jet Black, who raced his car, “Black Attack,” to a fantastic second place overall! The scouts showed great sportsmanship and creativity, making it a memorable event for everyone.

Thank you to Camp Bomazeen for hosting such a fun day. Pack 622 is already looking forward to next year’s race!

Cub Scouts Pack 622 had a fantastic hike at Mount Pisgah in Winthrop, Maine! The trail was full of bright fall colors, and the scouts had a great time hiking, searching for bugs and spotting animals along the way.

At the summit, some of the kids climbed the fire tower, taking in the beautiful views, while others enjoyed exploring at the base. The best part of the hike was being outside, having fun, and spending time with friends and family.

Thanks to the parents who helped make it a great day. We’re excited for the next adventure with Pack 622!

Cub Scouts Pack 622 had an exciting visit to the Manchester Fire Department! The scouts learned all about what firefighters do, how the fire department responds to emergencies, and the importance of fire safety at home.

The highlight of the visit was getting up close to the fire trucks. The kids loved seeing all the equipment, climbing inside, and even trying on some gear. It was a fun and educational experience that left everyone with a better understanding of fire safety.

Pack 622’s Pinewood Derby was a blast! The scouts had a great time designing, building, and racing their own cars. From sleek, aerodynamic designs to colorful, creative styles, each car was unique and reflected the kids' hard work and imagination.

Families gathered to cheer on the racers, creating an exciting and supportive atmosphere. There was plenty of encouragement, friendly competition, and lots of smiles as cars zoomed down the track. 

Scout Troop 622 also joined in, helping out and even racing their own cars alongside the Cub Scouts. 

A huge thanks to everyone who participated and helped make the Pinewood Derby a fun and memorable event for Pack 622!

Our Lions and Tigers dens recently enjoyed a fun and educational visit to our local Hannaford supermarket.

The highlight of the visit was a special presentation by Hannaford's nutritionist. Our Scouts learned valuable lessons about the importance of a balanced diet, how to read food labels, and making healthy food choices.

After the tour, Hannaford generously provided free, yummy snacks for our Cub Scouts. This tasty treat was a perfect way to end our visit and put some of our newly learned nutrition knowledge into practice.

We're grateful to Hannaford for this opportunity and their hospitality. Our Lions and Tigers not only had a great time but also gained knowledge that will help them develop healthy eating habits.

Pack 622 had an awesome time at the Kennebec Valley District Lego Derby held at Camp Bomazeen in Belgrade, Maine! The scouts got to build their own Lego cars and race them down the track, showcasing their creativity and engineering skills.

It was a fun and friendly competition, with lots of excitement and cheers as the cars sped to the finish line. The event was a great opportunity for the scouts to meet and compete with other packs from the area, making new friends along the way.
